| Semi-Truck Rollover
Self-extracting
file:
Rollover.exe
(1,274kB).
This animation demonstrates the new contact-based
rollover model in PC-Crash, 3D ground surfaces,
and also the ability to have moment transfer through
5th wheel trailer hitches. The tractor-trailer
combination goes wide on a turn and rolls over
onto its right side on a bank that slopes away
from the road. |

| Intersection Collision
Self-extracting
file:
Police.exe
(781kB).
This animation shows the multiple impacts possible
with PC-Crash, and the effect of using the 3D
impact and vehicle mathematical models. A police
car is struck on its left fender by a smaller
car. The vehicles then slap together at the rear
and the police car is re-directed to the right.
The police car yaws into a utility pole at the
corner of the intersection. |

| Pedestrian Impact
Self-extracting
file:
Ped hit.exe
(961kB).
This animation demonstrates the multi-link pedestrian
model in PC-Crash. It shows a pedestrian being
struck on his left side by a vehicle at about
23 mph. The vehicle's brakes are applied at t=0
from a speed of 25 mph, shortly before impact.
Note how the vehicle pitch and roll motion is
affected by the impact. |
